For us, home is where the history is. Since 1927, The Settlement has been a respite for travelers and those escaping to the great outdoors. Originally established as a stagecoach stop and boarding house, our property eventually grew to include a five-unit motel in 1954, and opened a restaurant in the 1960s. Today, we're known as a relaxing destination nestled in the scenic slopes of the High Sierra, within driving distance of natural wonders and attractions like Yosemite National Park, Mono Lake, and Bodie Ghost Town. Whether you're staying with us during a fishing trip, relaxing by our creek-side campfire, or partaking in our famous pizza, we're eager to have you as our guest.

Were so grateful for all our customers! It’s been a fantastic year and we wish you all the best! The restaurant will be closed from Tuesday November 20th for dinner, through until Sunday November 25th. We will be open the 20th for breakfast, re-opening the 25th for dinner. Here’s the latest update on our Virginia Creek Trout Project! Our triploid rainbows are between 5”-9” long! Some will be stocked into Virginia Creek after the close of fishing season (November 15th) and the rest we will continue to grow out and stock as they crowd themselves. Here’s to a great season everyone! Thank you for your patronage and support! Winter hours: Breakfast 7am-11am, Dinner 4pm-8pm 7-days a week (Friday’s and Saturday’s well stay open for dinner until 9pm)

Virginia Creek Trout Project update! They look like fish now! They're about 1.5" long and we've had to triple their feeding schedule to keep up with their appetites. They'll be moving out of their trough soon, into their bin to have room to grow and thrive
